ULSTER COUNTY LEGISLATURE PARTNERS WITH ULSTER STRONG TO LAUNCH BUSINESS COMMUNITY LISTENING SERIES
Sessions to Focus on Business Feedback About County Policies and Ways the County Can Support Economic Growth
KINGSTON, NY — The Ulster County Legislature and Ulster Strong have partnered to launch a series of regional business listening sessions across Ulster County. The interactive forums are designed to strengthen connections between county government and local employers, gather direct feedback on key operational challenges and legislative proposals, and raise awareness of vital county programs and community resources.
Business owners and representatives from sectors of all sizes are invited to attend. Each session will follow identical programming, offering participants space to share experiences and learn from regional peers.

"Our goal is to ensure every business in Ulster County knows that their efforts matter to our community, while giving them a forum to share their hopes and concerns about important policy issues like the proposed income surtax. Our business community deserves a voice in shaping the county’s economic future."

"These sessions provide a direct channel for county leadership to listen, learn, and ensure our economic initiatives reflect real-world business needs."

"The structured breakout discussions will directly inform how we tailor future business support services and legislative strategies."
“It has been made very clear that our local business owners have real and credible concerns with the current language and structure of the proposed new county income surtax. It is imperative that we continue to truly listen to them and understand how this will have a real impact on their livelihoods and those of their employees and families,” said Minority Leader Kevin Roberts (District 12).

Event Format & Registration
Each event begins at 7:00 PM with informal networking, followed by opening remarks at 7:15 PM from Ulster Strong and Legislative leaders. Attendees will then move into facilitated small-group breakouts to share priorities, address common obstacles, and explore county resources. Highlights from each session will be compiled to guide future policy decisions.
